If you have a Nimbus Rod, add a couple of clouds in the Hellevator to rain down on Plantera. Remember your long ranged and magic weapons to keep damaging Plantera as you go. Try to keep Plantera or one of her hooks on screen at all times to avoid losing her. Your grappling hook let's you stop to give Plantera a chance to catch up. Even the slow fall on wings is too fast if Plantera gets caught in a big empty spot, making her go all the way around, so the walls give her something to grab on to to go faster, but block most of her shots. This is where the grappling hook and thin walls come in. If you made a side tunnel that is straight, flat, and narrow, use the speed Boots to kite Plantera down the tunnel. Then kite her to the Hellevator, preferably using a long ranged or magic weapon to shoot as you go. When you are ready for battle, break the Bulb and wait until Plantera comes onscreen. When you find a Bulb, dig a straight tunnel directly to the Hellevator, straight and level and narrow as possible. At the very top of the Hellevator, make a dead end below the surface so you don't get an accidental Enraged Plantera. At regular intervals up the Hellevator, add a campfire and heart lantern in pairs to maximize health regeneration, just outside the Hellevator walls so they aren't in the way. When you finish, mark the spot where the Hellevator begins, preferably with another heart lantern. Add more platform lengths at six or seven block intervals to the top and bottom of the arena. The platforms should be extending from the top block layer of the island to the walls of the arena. It is best if the island is hollow, with the lantern and campfire inside it, so a Bulb has a chance of spawning on top, which is ideal. At the bottom of the Hellevator, make a circular arena with platforms extending from a small flat "island" that has a campfire, heart lantern and honey pit. That way you still have solid blocks to grab on to, along with Plantera's hooks so she won't fall behind and respawn, and will keep out most enemies. If there are large open areas, make one block wide walls on both sides of the Hellevator. To build: Build a Hellavator three blocks wide down through the Jungle, but make sure the bottom is still in the Underground Jungle.

Bring about 15 greater healing potions to be safe, although you probably won't need them all. A grappling hook is essential, a Diamond hook or Dual Hook work best. A spear (Mushroom spear is best), Melee, Ranged, and Magic weapons of your choice, honey, and lot's of campfires and heart lanterns, a set of wings, a cobalt shield or variant of it, and Specter or Lightning Boots. It is a (somewhat) easier, safer way to kill Plantera, and you'll need: Mud Blocks, how many depends on how many open areas in your Jungle there are. This strategy should also work on all gaming platforms. Hey guys! I have made a strategy that is a combination of several other strategies, and best of all, you can do it without having to beat Plantera before! The reason I made it was because I was constantly having trouble with beating Plantera, and I could never find a single strategy that would work.
